I made the Lemon Cake from the Silver Palate cookbook in this pan. It was SO beautiful! It's a heavy pan, which is great and it was easy to clean. Great Chanukah Dessert! Overall A+

Creates an impressive cake for Jewish celebrations. When greased and floured as directed, the cake released easily. It holds the same amount of liquid as a Bundt pan however while baking the batter overflowed the top. Next time I didn't use the all the batter so there was no overflow. However, the cake around the center tube was higher than the points of the stars and some had to be cut off. For looks, the cake got rave reviews. I used a pound cake recipe and simple blue and white icing piped into the design on top of the cake. This is a heavy duty nonstick pan well worth the cost if you want to impress when entertaining.

My wife and I saw this and decided we had to have it for the family. There's not much in the way of nice cake pans available with a Jewish theme. This pan is excellent!! We've purchased a variety of NordicWare's novelty pans in the past, including the Castle pan. This one is the same high quality and will be MUCH easier to decorate with it predictably linear theme which is outlined by straight grooves. My wife is especially impressed that the Star is created "correctly" with interlocking triangles.
NordicWare pans are quite heavy, they bake very evenly, and will last a lifetime. The nonstick coating is unrivaled. We've never had a sticking problem even with the NordicWare pans with more complex designs than this one. Always remember to spray them before pouring in the cake batter and you will never have a problem. Now we can only hope they create a mini-cake pan version.
