I purchased the HP2011X because of it's very good rating. I tried it and found out immediately that when you tilt your head up or down, the screen becomes foggy (dark) and unreadable at the edges of the monitor. I was disappointed and returned it. With this experience, I started looking for another monitor and paid attention to the field of vision. I purchased the HP2311X. What a difference. The 2311X in my opinion has a much better field of vision. I am very pleased with the HP2311X and would recommend it.

Great monitor for the price! I got mine at wally world on sale for 100 bucks, And its worth it. I hooked up my ps3 with a hdmi-dvi connector and it works flawlessly in HD. This monitor does NOT support 1080i or P. But it does support 720P and below, but for this size monitor your not gonna notice the difference.
Cosmetically this item seems kinda flimsy, but then again my LCD monitor was kinda old and heavy. So probably not used to it. The buttons are pretty firm and easy to push. Menus are easy also. As the other guy said the stand is kinda weird but i don't move my monitor a whole lot so i don't notice it much.
The screen is very very bright, and shows very good colors. Like I'm watching my HDTV. its pretty sweet.
Played COD on it and its really nice. Can see and notice everything, Its a great buy!

I have always trusted the HP brand over any other brand in the computer area. This monitor impresses. It is an amazing value. It is absolutely stunning. This was an upgrade over a 2 year old 17' HP monitor. The only reason I wanted an upgrade was just because I wanted a bigger resolution. The 1600 x 900 is the perfect resolution IMO. Anyway I doubt I'll have to buy a warranty because my old 17' worked completely fine. You can trust HP. LED is nice too, I can get comfortable with the whole new generation going into LED instead of LCD. Driver was fast install, had the auto calibrate screen on from the disk for a bit and pressed the auto button the monitor and it automatically adjusted and that's all that is needed to do. The ONLY downfall of this monitor is the limited customization options (contrast, brightness, etc.) It isn't too limited, but it also isn't that expanded. Either way I am a happy customer. I recommend this product.
Point is.. at the price this is an excellent monitor. You just can't beat it. Best bang for your buck. I got mine at my local walmart for $129.
