Because there was a mix-up in the description of this product, it did not suit our
needs. HOWEVER, it was a cute little footstool if you have the right spot for it.
THIS COMPANY IS GETTING A FIVE STAR REVIEW, because they honored their mistake
IMMEDIATELY responded to my email inquiry, and made returning and refunding a
pleasure. I WOULD NOT HESITATE TO DO BUSINESS WITH THIS COMPANY AGAIN. It is nice to know that there are still honest, reliable and pleasant companies to do business with. If you are in the market for any products this company has to offer,
I say GO FOR IT. YOU WILL NOT BE DISAPPOINTED WITH THEIR CUSTOMER SERVICE!!

INTRO:
I am wondering how picky to get in this footstool review....

with the exception of the legs [which must be attractive, strong and never split along the grain line];
any of us could make an excellant footstool from just the stuff around the house.
A factory should be able to make them flawlessly for less than $20.00

This one is not flawless and more than $20.00
I bought this particular footstool, because it was nearly the only one that didn't cost $100+ or look hideous.

REVIEW:
Its an ok footstool; but it should be much better:

1) The screws to mount the legs are too short!!! Don't even try to use them.
Go buy 4 drywall screws with very aggressive threads.

2) The legs are mounted with a peg and a wood screw.
This will never be child-proof!

3) The legs should be mounted closer to the edge.
Having the legs recessed makes it look a little odd, and is not as stable as it could be.

4) Aesthetics - The colors are very subdued.
May be they were trying to make it look old timey.

5) The padding feels cheap and I am not sure it will completely rebound to its original shape.
I have only had it a couple days. So far, there is a small depression from my feet.
