We bought this pressure cooker when we were visiting India last month to make baby food and cook small amount of pulses in a jiffy.

We have two other Prestige pressure cookers (aluminium ones) and they have served both my husband and I since our college days. Which is why we bought a small Prestige without batting an eye, we trust the brand. The fact that this was stainless steel was an added bonus because it meant we could cook baby food directly in the cooker without using any stainless steel inserts (less dishes to wash).

However, I am sorely disappointed in this product. It has leaked since the first time we used it. We tried everything, changing the rubber gasket, using it with minimum amounts of food... nothing works. It just leaks and leaks and once all the fluid is out it proceeds to burn whatever is in it.

Save your money and buy something else. Our only consolation is that back in India this pressure cooker costs an equivalent of 15 USD, so it doesn't hurt too much. But I was really hoping to rely on this little cooker for our day to day use and feel sorely let down.

Not happy at all, I would not recommend this size of the Prestige cooker to anyone. The bigger cookers we have work great... they're just a pain to wash everyday.

Fast delivery, reasonable price. Not sure about the life of the silicon pressure release valve before it needs replacement.

The lid is a bit rough while closing & opening. Otherwise, right size for daily cooking.

Very simple, easy to use, easy to put the lid on and remove. This one is a winner in all respects. Great heavy gage material. The deep lid is also very nice.
